CardScanAI Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 3, 2026

CardScanAI is designed to process business cards privately on your device.

Data processing

CardScanAI uses Apple system technologies, including Vision and Apple Intelligence, to recognize text and extract contact information from business cards.

Business card images, recognized text, and extracted contact details are processed on-device. They are not uploaded to, stored on, or shared with the developer’s servers.

Camera and photo access

CardScanAI uses the camera only when you choose to scan a business card.

If you choose a photo, the app accesses only the image you selected through Apple’s photo picker. It does not request access to your entire photo library.

Contacts

CardScanAI opens Apple’s system contact editor with the scanned details prefilled. You decide whether to save the contact.

CardScanAI does not request permission to read, browse, or manage your existing contacts.

Analytics and diagnostics

CardScanAI uses Apple system diagnostics to help identify app crashes, hangs, and performance issues.

The app does not use advertising SDKs, third-party analytics services, or cross-app tracking. It does not collect card contents, contact details, names, phone numbers, email addresses, or photos for analytics.

Data retention

CardScanAI does not operate a user account system and does not store business card images or extracted contact information on developer-controlled servers.

Contacts that you choose to save are managed by Apple’s Contacts app and, if enabled by you, your iCloud account.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when the app changes. The latest version will always be published on this page.
